No Longer Festival Virgins - Scorpion Chilli Take on the Hilton Harvest!
Sunday the 24th of May saw the beginning of an era as Scorpion Chilli took their plans for a Chilli stall from the drawing board to the pavement at the Hilton Harvest Festival. The Annual event was a fundraiser for the sustainable organic urban living group; Hilton Harvest Community Garden, who some would call an equally green-thumbed, community-orientated group as the hardworking people down at Scorpion Chilli! The event was blessed by the weather-gods, with sunshine coming through on the day in the midst of two weeks of rain and 100k winds, inspiring many locals and tourists to venture down and absorb the hand-made and home-grown. Declared by all to be a resounding success, the Festival boasted everything from a hands-on art and craft stall for children held by the Hilton Primary School, through the mouth-watering crepes and vegie-kebabs to the belly-dancing and live music. Many perused the clothes, jewelry and sustainability displays, not to mention the delicious locally-produced Olive oils and Chilli sauces! Scorpionchilli enjoyed a fruitful debut, selling out of prepared stock before the mid-point of the fair. A more than encouraging start for the little folk down at Scorpion Chilli Products.
