Habanero Concentrate:

Well, my long awaited bottle of Scorpion's Orange Habanero Concentrate finally arrived the other day. I was so excited that I couldn't decide what to try it with first. However, first I checked the PH and my meter showed that it was a 4.36 (no offense Scorpion, but I always go with safety first). Since I couldn't decide what to try with this sauce first, I decided to just do a finger taste. WOW! This actually momentarily took my breath away...This sauces has captured the essence of the Orange Habanero and that little bit on my finger, tasted like I had just put a whole pod in my mouth!

This morning I was making a 3 egg omelet with sausage and home-fries and thought to myself, "Humm, I'll try some of this concentrate with this meal" and out came the bottle. For the home-fries, I mixed in some onions, garlic and about 1/2 teaspoon of the concentrate. The 3 egg omelet I added about 1/2 teaspoon to the egg mixture. I must say again...WOW!!! It was as if I had just chopped up 2 or 3 fresh Habs and threw them in. The home-fries where great and I couldn't get enough. The egg omelet was on fire!

If you get a chance, PM Scorpion for the details on how to obtain a bottle of this superb concentrate. BTW, this is not something that you want to sniff from the bottle...LOL. I opened the cap and took a deep sniff to see what it smelled like. Well, after my eyes stopped watering, I knew that I was in for a treat...

Thanks Scorpion

Habanero Concentrate:

Well my first homemade source to try..sent by scorpion from the fair land of oz.me being a beginner and this being scorpion first try at a hab sauce (concentrate) i think we are made for each other..ive tried a naga sauce(normal and concentrate) and a peach hab sauce from differnt suppliers before..but i think scorps has got the hab taste in his sauce to a fine art.
First trial was an afternoon dinner with rumb steak, tried a very small amount applied to the top and complimented with jersey mids and savoy cabbage..the taste was superp even though only a tiny thimble full was used on 2 steaks..it just seemed to compliment the earthness of the other veg.
Trial 2 the spoon test.. wow it burns (theres 16 habs in der sauce)meself and a few friends took the plunge and just dipped a finger into the sauce..CONCENTRATED..o yee the burn was very long and satisfying..with a lovely deep fruity aftertaste and happy chillheads all aglow.
test 3 the barbe..lamb shank, homemade burgers with a spoon of sauce added to a pound of beef mince, marinade on chicken concentrated and waterd down to find the best results and finally pork ribs (we soaked the ribs in a bbq sauce with the sauce added..teaspoon full) and let them take up the flavour for a 3 hours in the fridge..lit the charcol and away we went 16 people with lots of hb concentrated meat and the results surprised me.
the majority had had jalpeno, naga and other hot sauces before but the comments where universal they all preferd the taste of the hab concentrate..the ribs and chicken where the best..chicken/habs= heaven and pork ribs well..we did 5 racks they had gone in an hour some people liking the concentrated ribs/some liking the waterd down version all in all it was a great hit and im sitting typing here with about a spoonful left and worring how long it will take to get another bottle of scorpions concentrated summer hab delight..my friend you have a hit

More Independent Sauce Reviews:

.Dave I got my sauces today and they were fantastic.

When I got home from school I was anxciously waiting for my sauces to be their becuase I was waiting everyday to see if they came in. I looked down on my porch and saw nothing their and said their still not here yet. Then I saw in the mailbox that there was some kind of box. I got the box and read David Marshall on it and said YES their here.
The first sauce I tried was the wrath of god. I opened it up and smelled it and it smelled incredible almost like a spicy barbecue sauce. I got a toothpick to try it because this sauce is supposed to be really hot. As soon as I tried it I was like oh my god the flavor is incredible then about 5 seconds later the heat really kicked in and it was great. This sauce was so hot that I was drooling and I loved it lol.   Later I tried the habanero concentrate. I smelled it and it smelled like fresh habs just cut up and put right in the bottle. When I ate some of it on my finger I was like wow this is really sweet then about 10 seconds later the heat of the habs kicked it and it was hot.   And with that ghost chilli, I am going to put it in a coffee grinder and make dust powder out of it. My dad did this with a dried habanero before and he said when he sprinkled it on his spaghetti his brother took one bite and ran right up to the bathroom lol. So by grinding this up you know this powder is going to be insanely HOT!!!!.   I like the wrath of god sauce the best because I really like hot things, but I still love the hab concentarte too.   Thanks for the sauces Dave. I will be back to order more when I run out, and I will check out your website to see if you got any new sauces up for sale.       Keep doing what you do

Some 'Scorpion blood'

Hey guys i have had the pleasure of trying some of scorpions sauces in the past, from the fire inducing Wrath of God to the delicious fruitiness of Fiery Temper all the way down to his mild Sweet Chilli sauce.
When he announced that he was producing a very limited batch of a sauce that i had never heard of before *Scorpions Blood* i jumped at the chance to try it, i just *HAD* to obtain some!
In this sauce he manages to cram in 17 different varieties of peppers and still had time to get a cool label made
After a spoon full of the Blood the heat is immediatly detectable at the back of the tounge and you get a wonderful almost tangy flavour hit, the taste of Garlic is just noticeable and i detected a very "clean" taste of Fatalii with nice fresh undertones.
The heat then travels into your body and then into your face, finally settling on your lips. It doesn't seem to burn the throat much, just warms the tounge nicely and places a very nice burn to the lips.
Perspiration is apparant as well as a runny nose after 3-4 minutes and after around 8 minutes the heat had started to subside. I kind of expected a little more scorching heat however the level of heat compliments the flavours and is well balanced.
It's a shame that it is a limited batch as i think many people would enjoy this sauce.
Ingrediants: Chilli, Chilli, Lots of Chilli, Lime Juice, Olive Oil, Coriander, Garlic, Vinegar, Saffron, Salt.
All said and done it really is a nice sauce. It made my poorly cooked silverside magically edible!!
Cheers Scorps
