YAY!!!! WINNERS AGAIN!

Picture
Scorpion Chilli have done it again!  Taking 2 overal awards, 3 GOLD, 1 SILVER and 5 Bronze at the 2010 Hot Pepper Awards!  The burning in the kitchen was worth it I rekon!  If you want to have a look at our awards jump onto the awards section at the top of the page.  Do enjoy our hot whole food sauces straight from the garden to you.

Slow but good season

Picture
Our season has begun a little slow in the pod department, but after much procrastinating by the ever organised Dave everything seems to be cranking along nicely.  We have mainly super hot pods this year, ranging from the ever famous bhut jolokia to the scorpions, 2 types of 7 pod and of course the ever faithfuls in the hot department: Habanero and scotch bonnets. Many pods from the Scorpion blood garden are coming through, with 17 odd varieties here we should have a bumper season for the very famous (and bloody time consuming) scorpion blood sauce.

Gold Edition RIP

2011 Fremantle chilli festival
It was a great festival once again! Heaps of stores from around the state and nation came together to enjoy the heat! Our sauces once again nearly sold out as we burned our punters with RIP and our new GOLD edition RIP sauce that has lots of lovely 16 million pure crystal heat in it! I tell you that was fun to make! It was a great weekend with heaps of fun had by all!  If anyone is after the GOLD edition pain I can get it to you shortly, but be quick as I'm nearly out!

ABC Online Report

Picture
Here is a little report made by ABC online on our crazy sauce:

The annual Fremantle Chilli Festival attracted more than 20,000 chilli lovers over the weekend.

More than 70 stalls showed off their spicy wares with everything from chilli ice, chilli wine, chilli seeds and chilli fudge.

Chilli sauces, jams and chutneys were the favourites again this year with the heat intensity rating ranging from 1 out of 10 through to 20 out of 10.

Customers who purchased one chilli sauce, called 'R.I.P' from the 'Slow Death Sauces' range, had to sign a waiver before being handed the product.

The detailed disclaimer, which warns of an 'element of danger if products are misused', is not a publicity stunt. Last year people who ignored warnings were taken away in an ambulance after tasting the potent potion.
