Sowilo Community High Band Set to Tour Regional WA
Wicked Sky, a homegrown Perth band, is set to tour regional WA in the next few months. The lead singer and guitarist Elias James is a longstanding member of Sowilo Community Highschool, a individual-focused organisation supported by Scorpion Chilli Products. Elias has long been a dedicated member of the school and a leader amoungst his peers, not to mention a dedicated Chilli Fanatic!
Wicked Sky formed in 2005 when the first two members of the Metal band, drummer Joe and guitarist/vocalist Elias, got together. They later recruited first Daniel, and then later in 2009, Jade, as the band bassist, as well as good friend and guitarist Eddie. The group started out playing covers mainly consisting of System Of A Down songs, and later, inspired by bands such as Metallica, Symphony X, Pantera, and Sepultura, they delved into the world of original music writing, led by their creative mind, Elias James.
Signing up to an agent was the next big step in this small band's evolution, followed by a Sowilo Community Highschool and Scorpion Chilli Products co-sponsored concert in Don Russels Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie. At the same time these young artists managed to release their first CD, mainly consisting of cover songs, as well as a few orignals.
The group is now set to tour regional pubs around Western Australia in the upcoming months.
